While in Oregon a few long weeks ago, I went to help my Mother at the Medford Stake girls camp held every year held at the beautiful Camp Esther Applegate. On the way up the mountain you pass many farm houses and open cattle ranges- quite a lovely drive actually. In the olden days, as kids, all the Clasons can remember the multiple trips we took up that mountain to said camp for family day trips, ward campouts and service projects. We learned the route very well, enough so that we started naming specific areas along the drive after the people with whom we were traveling. For example- (some may not remember these but I sure do) Lizzy's house: a rundown farm house with a horse pasture surrounding the whole thing, Emily's house: an old outhouse located directly west of Lizzy's house, etc. We ususally picked old barns and sheds because I guess it was funnier than picking actual houses. Kids those days, sheesh.
One trip in particular we were traveling with our dear friends the Morris family. We commenced with our naming game. I don't remember much about the trip but I know we gave Becky Morris the best house of all. It has been the only "house" that has survived through the years- the only one we actully remembered the exact location of- the only one dare I say that we all loved. Well I saw Becky's house on my way up to camp. Some of you may remember this house and how it used to stand tall and somewhat strong, but that day it wasn't. Sorry Beck, there was nothing I could do.

Cat - I laughed my head off when I read this blog post!!! We had just been commenting about Beck's poor house. I think everyone in the Ashland ward knew that was Becky's house! Thanks for the fun memory!
Cat! How are you!? We need to get together before we finally leave Rexburg! Call me! 403-4952
I'm so glad you remember my house! I think I pointed it out every time we drove up to Girls' Camp. Thanks for the post - I don't think Nate really believed when I pointed it out to him that it was really my house :) So sad that it's deteriorating!
Jessica told me about your post so I had to check it out, funny stuff. I can't believe other people had "houses" on Dead Indian and that Becky actually told other people about her house. Hope you and Dan are doing well.
